In the 1950s and 60s, Pucci prints revolutionized fashion. Emilio Pucci had anticipated the advent of the leisure culture and invented "cruise chic" fashion. His bold and cheerful psychedelic motifs (all of which bore his cursive signature Emilio in the the pattern), were instantly popular with the jet-set crowd, who found the lightweight and wrinkle-free clothing perfect for travel. He designed casual wear from "Capri" pants, shorts, classic shirts worn outside thw waistbands, to silk scarves, dresses, handbags, and pajamas. His beautiful silk jersey knit dresses were worn by celebrities such has Marylin Monroe, Jacqueline Kennedy, and Elizabeth Taylor.
